David acts for clients facing a wide range of criminal charges, including assault matters such as domestic and aggravated offences, sexual offences, drug possession and trafficking, firearms offences, and other summary and indictable charges. He places strong emphasis on understanding the unique issues in each file so that defence strategies are both practical and effective.
He approaches every file with careful attention to disclosure and Charter issues, recognizing that constitutional protections are foundational to ensuring fair treatment within the criminal justice system. David’s work reflects a disciplined focus on analysing evidence, identifying legal issues, and advancing defence arguments that protect his clients’ rights and interests through negotiation or contested hearings.

David brings practical court experience to his defence work, having conducted trials in the Alberta Court of Justice and preliminary inquiries in the Court of King’s Bench.
