Mandeep Matharu

Mandeep joined the team as a Legal Assistant and began articling in October 2026. As a Legal Assistant, she supported the firm’s lawyers on a range of Family and Civil Litigation matters, assisting with file management, document preparation, and client communication. This experience gave her a first-hand view of how matters progress from intake to resolution, and it continues to inform her work as an articled student. While building on this foundation in Family and Civil Law, Mandeep is also using her articling period to explore other areas of practice and broaden her legal experience.

Mandeep holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with honors from the University of Leicester. Before pursuing law, she completed a Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University with a joint major in Gender Studies and Criminology. Her academic background gives her a strong appreciation for the human side of legal disputes, particularly in family matters, where personal circumstances and relationships are often at the heart of the issue.

Mandeep believes that clear communication and genuine care are central to good legal service. Whether a client is navigating a separation or a civil dispute, she works to make the process more understandable and less overwhelming, ensuring clients feel heard and know what to expect at each step.

Outside of work, Mandeep enjoys staying active at the gym, curling up with a good book, and spending time with her dog.
