Cassandra E. Armstrong
Cassandra E. Armstrong is a June 2025 graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Cassandra completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Royal University with an honours major in Psychology and a Sociology minor. Cassandra has had a keen interest in pursuing criminal law since her undergrad.
While completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, Cassandra volunteered as a Research Assistant creating and conducting online surveys and gathering and analyzing survey data. During her Law degree, Cassandra gained extensive volunteer experience with Student Legal Services of Edmonton interviewing clients, assisting Principals, acting as a case worker, and doing docket appearances. Since 2022, Cassandra has worked for the Calgary Zoo Wilder Institute as a wildlife experience host, providing programming about animals and wildlife conservation. This provided her with exceptional experience in speaking to large groups, answering sometimes sensitive questions, and consistently thinking on her feet.
Cassandra loves the outdoors and travelling, so much so that she created and manages a social media travel blog. While she is no longer working at the Calgary Zoo, she continues to be passionate about animal welfare and the conservation of natural habitats.
Cassandra is a student member of the Southern Alberta Defence Lawyers’ Association.
