Jackson P. Tiefenbach
Jackson Tiefenbach is a June 2026 graduate from the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary. He has been working with Hadford Defence Group since June 2023 as a law clerk, then as a legal intern, and now as a student-at-law. Jackson holds a double major Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge in Music Theory/History and Management/Marketing.
Jackson’s articling term will build on his meaningful real-world experiences in research and writing and his hands-on experience with clients in handling court appearances while managing client matters from beginning to end. Jackson spends time getting to know our clients, dives deeply into their disclosure, and ensures he fully understands their concerns. Our clients appreciate Jackson’s calm demeanour, non-judgemental manner, and listening ear.
Jackson has played the baritone and alto saxophone, guitar and bass guitar, flute, and piano. Before applying to law school, he managed his own bands and was a cross-Canada touring and recording musician. Currently, he plays New Orleans-style 1920s jazz and does the occasional public performance. He has also worked as a professional confectioner.
Jackson is a member in good standing of both the Business Law Association and the Energy Law Club at the University of Calgary, as well as the Southern Alberta Defence Lawyers’ Association. Ivy Law believes that Jackson is a young lawyer to watch and considers itself lucky to have Jackson on our team.
